Classic Bellydance tunes, pop and club mixes in Greek, Turkish or Arabic may be used as well as Veils, Zill (tiny finger cymbals worn on the fingers), Stick, Shamadan (candelabra worn on the head) or Sword. It is customary for the Bellydancer to invite guests up to dance symbolising celebration and good luck. Meet Madhu Bhala, Stir Fry, Lady Cat and Madam Azleen as they mingle amongst guests reading tarot cards, placing bindi’s on foreheads, serving fortune cookies and sacred wine and dancing up a cross cultural storm! HENNA ARTISTS From lavish Indian and Middle Eastern motifs to bold contemporary designs Mehendi body art has been worn by the Maharani’s of India to the Great Pharaohs of Egypt! A natural paste made from the crushed leaves of the Lawsonia Inermis plant is piped freehand onto the skin creating a stunning reddish brown coloured pattern.
